Backline One builds nearshore back-office teams for European businesses. We are based in Skopje, North Macedonia, and we work for small and mid-sized businesses in DACH and Benelux.
Why nearshore
North Macedonia is in Central European Time. Same working day, same meeting hours, an hour’s flight from most of the continent, a workforce educated inside European business culture.
Proximity is the argument: reachable in the same hours, briefed in the same meeting, working to the same deadlines. You raise something at eleven and it is being worked on at eleven, not read the following morning.
What the name means

How we work
We work inside your systems, to your rules, in your hours. The team is recruited and trained around your operation rather than assigned from a pool, and the named lead is the person you raise things with.
Approval stays with you. We prepare, check, chase and hand back; the decisions that need an owner in your business keep that owner.
Data handling
Backline One acts as a processor under the GDPR. We work inside the client’s own systems wherever the client prefers it, and we do not copy personal data out of them without a written instruction.
North Macedonia sits outside the EEA and is not covered by an adequacy decision, so transfers are made under the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, with a transfer impact assessment on file. Access is named, limited to the agreed scope, reviewed when people join or leave, and logged.
